Hybrid Hackathon, Sibiu, Romania, 20th of May 2026
The hackathon at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania, brought together approximately 200 students from Indonesia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and Ukraine, both on-site and online. Sixteen teams from these countries presented their projects related to freelancing. The jury faced a daunting task selecting the best projects, as all were excellent and well-prepared. On the basis on the four main criteria, i.e.
- business plan,
- novelty,
- how well it could be integrated into the city,
- presentations,
the following projects were nominated:

The final point of the Hackathon was the presentation by Dr. Robert Szydło of the Competence Assessment Tool (CAT), and release of the two MOOCs. Participants were encourared to do pilot testing both of CAT and MOOCs and provide their feedback.
