Dana Simian
Professor Dana Simian is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics at the Faculty of Sciences, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. She also serves as the Director of the Research Center in Informatics and Information Technology within the same faculty. Her academic background includes degrees from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in Cluj-Napoca and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sibiu, as well as additional training in Computer Science. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, swarm intelligence, modeling, and optimization.
Professor Simian has experience working with international research teams and has contributed to curriculum development in her field as Director of the bachelor program Informatics. She has also supported collaborations with students and graduates, fostering their professional growth as entrepreneurs and freelancers. As a visiting professor, she has been hosted by the University of Cincinnati (USA), the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg (Germany), and the University of Applied Sciences Landshut (Germany).
She is the author of several books and research articles indexed in international databases such as ISI Web of Science, IEEE, and SCOPUS, reflecting her contributions to the academic community.

Florin Stoica
Mr. Associate Professor PhD habil. Florin Stoica received the diploma in Informatics from the “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca in 1995. He became a Doctor in Cybernetics and Statistics in 2007, at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, with the thesis “Agent-Oriented Technologies”. He is currently Associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Sciences, at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. He is the author of 3 books, 1 book chapter and over 50 scientific papers published in specialized journals, books, and proceedings of national or international conferences (of which 35 ISI). His current research interests include multi-agent systems, distributed systems, machine learning, evolutionary computing, database systems, and model checking. He is in charge of the research group “Development and Verification of Intelligent Systems” of the Research Center in Informatics and Information Technology (http://rc-iit.ro/), since 2014. He obtained the habilitation in the field of Cybernetics and Statistics in 2022.
Laura Florentina Stoica
Mrs. Associate Professor PhD habil Laura Florentina Stoica received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Informatics in 2004 and her Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics in 2005 from „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. She became a Doctor in Informatics in 2014 at „Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, with the thesis titled „Formal Verification of Models for Discrete Event Systems”. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Sciences, at „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. She has authored 2 books, 2 book chapters, and more than 30 scientific papers, including 16 ISI-indexed publications in specialized journals, books, and conference proceedings. Her current research interests focus on model checking, temporal logics, distributed systems, and the automatic verification of software systems. Since 2014, she has been a member of the “Development and Verification of Intelligent Systems” research group within the Research Center in Informatics and Information Technology (http://rc-iit.ro/). She obtained the habilitation in the field of Cybernetics and Statistics in 2024.
Lia Alexandra Baltador
Lia Alexandra Baltador is Associate Professor with over 18 years of experience at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration, at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania. She holds a PhD in Economic Science, specializing in sustainable development, and has a strong background in teaching subjects like International Transactions, Globalization, Sustainable Development, and Intercultural Managerial Communication. Her academic work includes post-doctoral research on sustainable development in Romania and Moldova, focusing on intercultural approaches. Other projects have included managing entrepreneurial initiatives for students, fostering innovation and business skills through programs like the EDUHUB Entrepreneurial Student Society. The main research interests include entrepreneurial education, sustainability, and international affairs. Lia is actively involved in international academic collaborations, having participated in Erasmus mobilities and visiting professorships across Europe and Asia. She has gained international experience by taking part in Erasmus projects, like MyDigiCoop. Other projects have included managing entrepreneurial initiatives for students, fostering innovation and business skills through programs within EDUHUB, the Entrepreneurial Student Society.
Mihaela Rotaru
Lecturer Mihaela Rotaru graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in Sibiu, Romania and has a PhD in Management. She is an expert in Health and Safety and over the last 15 years she has been offering her expertise to different companies in the Sibiu County. Between 2014 and 2019, Mrs. Mihaela Rotaru was the head of Health and Safety Department of University Lucian Blaga of Sibiu. Since 2018, she has been organizing, in collaboration with British Romanian Chamber of Commerce a series of events called “Meet the Entrepreneur”. In March 2020, Mrs. Mihaela Rotaru participated in organising the first event „Girls on the Move” by Elles Bougent, “Girls for STEM @ ULBS” in 2019, 2023 and 2024 she organized the event “Giving Tuesday”. Technical expert in Erasmus project SafeEngine – Blended Learning through Innovative Tools for Sustainable and Safety Engineering and Social Inclusion where she coordinated Occupational Health and Safety Course Module, E-Book and workshop delivered for project partners and involved with practical case studies in course module Workplace Social Inclusion. She was expert in the UniverCity – Strategic Partnerships of Higher Education for Community. UniverCity aimed to find solutions to support the development of local communities in solving small-scale problems. She was a communication expert in the Project “Renewable energy and energy efficiency – for sustainable development in Sibiu County” funded under EEA and Norway Grants 2014 – 2021 – Training and awareness call – Energy Program Romania – Increased knowledge on renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy security in all sectors of society.
Nancy Panța
With a PhD in Management focusing on business sustainability and nearly a decade of experience as both an educator and entrepreneur, Ms. Nancy Panța teaches Entrepreneurship, Management, Strategic Management, and Organizational Behavior at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu). Her scholarly contributions include over 15 published articles featured in Web of Science and SCOPUS-indexed journals. Her work extends beyond academia, engaging in projects aimed at fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among students. Additionally, she has an international academic background, having studied at University College Ghent in Belgium and attended programs at Babson College, USA, institutions renowned for their focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Daniel Hunyadi
Daniel Hunyadi serves as the Head of the Research, Development, and Innovation Office at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. He is a distinguished academic and researcher with expertise spanning cryptography, cybersecurity, data mining, project management, digital education, advanced programming technologies, and modern programming languages. He also plays a key role in curriculum development, research strategy, and academic quality assurance. Through his extensive research, publications, and teaching, he has made significant contributions to these fields. Daniel has authored over 70 research articles published in internationally recognized journals indexed in ISI WoS, SCIE, SSCI, and Scopus, as well as in proceedings of major international conferences. Recently, his work has focused on the practical applications of cryptography and secure data management. Additionally, he has served as a project director or team member in numerous research and development projects and is actively involved in national and international academic associations and societies. Beyond academia, Daniel is an Integration Manager at an IT company, where he has spent the last 13 years contributing to various projects within the Life Sciences industry.
